Privacy Policy

Trainex is a training management app for organisations, trainers, and trainees. This policy explains what information the Trainex app collects, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, password (stored securely as a hash by our authentication provider), role, and approval status.
• Training activity — the batches and courses you belong to, module and task progress, quiz answers and scores, assignment submissions, questions and answers you post in module discussions, and announcements you have read.
• Files you upload — images or documents you choose to attach to assignments or course materials. The app only accesses photos or the camera when you choose to attach a file.
• Device push token — if you allow notifications, a token that lets us deliver notifications to your device.

We do not use advertising identifiers, do not track you across other apps or websites, and do not sell your data.

How we use it

• To sign you in and show you the training content assigned to you.
• To let trainers and administrators in your organisation assign work and review progress, submissions, and scores.
• To send notifications and emails about assignments, announcements, and account approval.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

Who can see your data

Your training activity is visible to the trainers and administrators of your organisation in Trainex. Discussion posts are visible to other members of the same course or batch.

We use the following service providers to run Trainex. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under More → Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and personal data. Records your organisation needs, such as course content authored by others, are not affected.

You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted by role-based security rules on our database.

Children

Trainex is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do.
